Some of these creative outputs were created as part of the analysis of my data. Others were created as artistic, cognitive or emotional representations of the borders I witnessed, unearthed or encountered. Although the maps are not as “deconstructive” as I had hoped (the centrality of national borders: countries of origin/passage/arrival) this is in part because of their centrality in and impact on a border-crosser’s ability to be mobile.
